Tammy Halamish Eisenmann, PhD

Yozma Director (2017 - 2020)

Director of the Initiative for Applied Education Research (2017 - 2020). She is among the founders of the Trump Foundation and was a leading developer of its programs since the foundation’s establishment in 2011. In her role there, she built the Trump Foundation’s framework of programs, which contributed significantly to the clinical teaching revolution in the fields of mathematics and science and raised the number of students who are able to realize their potential. She has, in the past, taught mathematics in secondary schools, taught mathematics education to Bachelor’s and Master’s students, and those studying for teaching certification. In addition, she was a visiting researcher at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership.

Her research focuses on the cultural context of teaching and learning practice.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy, received in 1996, a teaching certificate, received in 1997, and a Master’s degree in mathematical education, received in 1999, all from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She also holds a doctorate in mathematics education from the Weizmann Institute of Science, received in 2007, after which, she completed post-doctoral research in 2009 at the School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
