While society, economy, culture, science, politics, the environment, and − in particular − technology are changing rapidly, education systems find adjustment difficult. This discrepancy is also apparent in the system’s curricula.
This document’s proposals are based on the understanding that curricula should incorporate three strategies: 1) respond appropriately to existing conditions,
2) prepare students (and society) for coping with future trends and uncertainty, and 3) guide society and individuals according to a vision of an ideal reality. Only a fusion of these three principles can allow education to rise to the challenges we face today.
