Associate professor in the Department of Science Teaching at the Weizmann Institute of Science. His research focuses on motivating teenagers to study science both in school and outside it, and on the environmental factors that shape such motivation. He also develops innovative curricula for the middle school sciences.

He holds a PhD in science education from the University of Michigan (US), received in 2003.
