Dr. Maayan Davidov

Bio sketch: Senior lecturer at the School of Social Work and Social
Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research addresses
children’s emotional and social development as well as socialization processes
and cultural factors that affect children. Her work involves theoretical and
empirical examination of distinct aspects of parent-child relationships and
their contribution to various features of social competence among children. Dr.
Davidov’s work also addresses theory and research of development of concern for
others during the first years of life, and her laboratory specializes in studying
the development of empathy and pro-social behavior among infants, toddlers and
children.
She holds a PhD in developmental psychology from the
University of Toronto (Canada), received in 2003.
