Prof. Menahem Fisch
Member, Consensus committee: Adapting curricula for the 21st century

Bio sketch:
Prof. Fisch is the Joseph and Ceil Mazer Emeritus Professor of History and Philosophy of Science at the Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Sciences and Ideas at Tel-Aviv University, and a Senior Fellow of the Kogod Center for the Renewal of Jewish Thought at the Hartman Institute, Jerusalem. Since 2012, Prof. Fisch is Director of the Center for Religious and Interreligious Studies at Tel-Aviv University. He chairs the Board of Directors of the "Nefesh" Theatre and is member of the Board of Directors of the Israel Camerata, Jerusalem. He is former founding-President of the Israel Association for the History and Philosophy of Science, and former twice head of the Tel Aviv University Graduate School of Philosophy. His research focuses on the philosophy of science, mind, language and self, on the history of early Victorian science, on Talmudic reasoning and theology, and on political philosophy in its Israeli context. He holds a PhD in history and philosophy of science from Tel-Aviv University, received in 1986.
