Rector of the Oranim Academic College. Served as the chair of the Pedagogic Secretariat in the Ministry of Education and co-founded the 'Hashkafa' project for master (leading) teachers. He served as dean of pedagogical development and head of the Education Department at the Kibbutzim College of Education. He was also the deputy director of the Kerem Institute for Teacher Training, director of the 'Community of Thinking' unit at the Branco Weiss Institute, a teacher and educator at the Givat Brenner High School, and secretary general of the 'HaMahanot HaOlim' youth movement. He is a graduate of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. The main areas of his research are education policy, non-formal education, and teacher training. Dr. Michaeli holds a PhD degree in education from Tel-Aviv University, received in 2007.
