Prof. Pnina S. Klein

Bio sketch:
professor of education at Bar-Ilan University, heads the Baker Center for Study of Development Disorders in Infants and Young Children and holds the Machado Chair for Research on Cognitive Modifiability and the Development of Intelligence. Prof. Klein, who is a certified clinical and developmental psychologist, has developed methods for studying the quality of communication and interactions in children and their impact on child development. Her research, conducted in Israel and abroad, has been supported by various international organizations. Prof. Klein is a member of the Council for Higher Education in Israel, represents Israel in the World Forum on Early Care and Education, is a member of the board of directors of the Oslo-based International Child Development Programmes and serves as a child-development consultant for organizations in various countries. Prof. Klein received her Ph.D. in education from the University of Rochester in 1974.
