She has been a member of National Committees for Language and Literacy for pre-school through high school age children. Her main areas of research are Hebrew language acquisition as the mother tongue; development of linguistic literacy; later language development; acquisition of spelling; and the development of text production. Dr. Ravid earned her Ph.D. in Linguistics and Developmental Psycholinguistics from Tel Aviv University in 1988.
