Executive director of the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation (NITE), established the Department for Computer-Based Testing at NITE and was responsible for the development and introduction of several testing programs. His work examines a variety of areas connected with psychometrics including item response theory; computerized testing; test calibration and the reliability of various assessment instruments. Dr. Cohen has a MA degree in Psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1977), and MSc in Computer Science and PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Oregon (1981).
