professor at the School of Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she formerly served as the head of the School. Her main research interests are students' motivation for schoolwork; the consequences of various types of feedback and assessment on students' motivation; self-evaluative strategies and judgments; and, teacher motivation.Prof. Butler holds a Ph.D. in developmental psychology, received from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1982.
