Full professor, School of Psychology at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) and since 2014, vice president for academic affairs at IDC. In 2004, he was awarded the EMET Prize in psychology for his unique contribution to the study of personality and social psychology. From 1995 to 1999, he headed the Department of Psychology at Bar-Ilan University and from 2004 to 2006, he was dean of Bar-Ilan University's regional colleges. In 2007, he established the School of Psychology at IDC and served as its dean until 2014. Prof. Mikulincer is a co-founder of the Peleg-Bilig Center for the Study of Family Wellbeing and directed the Center from 2002 to 2006. From 2010 to 2015, he was editor of the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. Prof. Mikulincer holds a PhD degree in psychology from Bar-Ilan University, received in 1985.
